Kasadyahan Festival 2010

The Kasadyahan Festival is usually held before the Dinagyang Festival highlights and is joined by the local municipalities and some schools in Iloilo. The Kasadyahan Festival showcases the folklores of different municipalities in Iloilo.

Tribu Alimbuyog with their props, banana leaves, symbolizes their town specialty 'Tinuom' in which they use banana leaf in cooking.

2009 Iloilo Boy Scouts Jamborette

The 2009 Iloilo Boy Scouts Jamborette was held in Brgy. Igtalongon, Igbaras, Iloilo last October 26 - 30, 2009. This is the second time that Igbaras hosted the Boy Scouts Jamborette.

The 2009 Iloilo Boy Scouts Jamborette was participated by all members of boy scouts from all the towns in Iloilo.

Cabatuan Paklang Leaf

When you visit the town of Cabatuan, you can see a big leaf arch of a "paklang" of banana. This was constructed to add a tourist attraction in this particular town. This big leaf arch symbolizes the specialty of Cabatuanon, which the saging leaf is the major tool used in cooking their food specialty, the tinuom na manok.

The big paklang leaf serves as double purpose for it can be used also as a shed when you are walking through the town plaza.
